Moving a single spin in a double quantum dot can induce spin rotation if the two quantum dots have different quantization axes. Starting with a spin down in a quantum dot, when shuttling this spin to another quantum dot, it is not an eigenstate anymore and will start to precess at the Lamor frequency. By controlling the shuttling sequence we can realize single qubit gates.
