Why is quantum internet superior to post-quantum cryptography
Many groups all over the world are putting in a lot of effort to build the quantum internet. But why do we spend so much time researching, for example, quantum repeaters and quantum-key distribution (QKD) protocols towards this quantum internet, when we appear to have a suitable alternative: post-quantum cryptography?
As professor Stephanie Wehner explains in this video, there is one crucial difference between post-quantum cryptography and QKD protocols using the Quantum Internet. Ultimately one method can improve the other.
