Room temperature electronics
The electronics needed for operating a quantum computer needs to perform the advanced task of generating, acquiring, processing and controlling many radio-frequency control pulses simultaneously on time-scales with latencies shorter than the coherent timescales of the physical qubit systems. We have developed ways of doing this in real-time with dedicated processor hardware. At the same time, we provide super stable and low noise slower signal generation for tuning the quantum devices before and during the quantum operations. Together, this puts us in a uniquely strong position to solve all the control electronics challenges needed for realising a fully operational quantum computer.
Main takeaways
- Room-temperature control systems are needed for operating a quantum computer
- Integrating all aspects of the quantum control in one processor platform helps to keep latencies shorter than the coherent time scales
- Furthermore, super stable and low noise tuning signals are needed to prepare and maintain the qubits at the optimal operating points throughout the quantum operations
