Operations on anyons: Braiding
Introduction
The concept of anyons might already be clear for you, but how do we perform quantum computations on anyons? It is not trivial how we can design unitary operations on such particles, which is an absolute requirement for a quantum computer.
Here Atilla Geresdi explains the basic concept of performing such quantum operations: braiding. As it turns out, braiding has some very useful properties in terms of quantum computation! Finally, we will look at how we can measure such qubits.
